about pathways

Pathways Counseling is a community of like-minded counselors focused on helping people become their best selves mentally, emotionally, spiritually and relationally. We use proven researched therapies, methods and counseling perspectives congruent with the tenants of the Christian faith. We integrate both scientific and faith perspectives to identify core issues, resolve conflicts and traumas, recover relational connection and intimacy, and discover new pathways to the life they long for.

Amy completed her bachelor’s degree in biblical counseling and master’s degree in professional counseling while her kids were growing. Amy loves to work with clients of all ages who struggle with grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. She has significant experience using play therapy with her younger clients. She is client focused and uses cognitive behavior therapy techniques to help the client re-narrate their “story”.

Amy loves to travel, crochet, and read true stories of people who have faced insurmountable odds and survived. She fully believes that real life is crazier than fiction.

JEAN LANDPHAIR, LMFT

Jean is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has been practicing since 2011. Jean’s driving motivation is that those who hurt need not suffer alone. Finding that most every relationship problem stems from an attachment need, she has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy .

While her main focus is on marriage counseling, she also works with adult and teen individuals with relationship issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, divorce recovery and parent coaching. Jean and her husband Doug have raised 2 children and now delight in their grandchildren.

Megan Ballou, MMFT

Megan works primarily with adolescents and young adults who need help transitioning into the next stages of life, healing through trauma work, eating disorders, adjustment disorders, and/or relational problems. She is also trained in EMDR and IFS work that allows her to integrate the various parts of a person into a whole person.

Meganʼs goal for every client is to lead them into a fuller and happier life, while helping them build the necessary tools to encounter life struggles. Megan believes that true healing comes from when a person can understand and accept their true self.

Lisbeth VAnce, Graduate Intern
